Summer is packed with vibrant festivals across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire
As more and more of us take up the idea of owning our own UK holiday homes, we’re all learning more about just how much the UK has to offer.

And when it comes to summer, that means finding out just how much great entertainment is on your holiday home doorstep. Yorkshire Festivals in July and August
Deer Shed Festival
July 26th - 29th
Baldersby Park in North Yorkshire is the home of Deer Shed Festival, possibly the most family friendly festival ever. Deer Fest won festival of the year in 2023. It’s a wonderland of creativity, ranging from music, sports, activities, and (most interestingly) scientific experiments!
Tramlines
July 26th - 28th
Sheffield’s biggest and longest running (10 years!) festival has consistently brought big names to its stages. Public Enemy, Basement Jaxx, The Charlatans, The Libertines, Metronomy, Sister Sledge, and the list goes on. With Paolo Nutini headlining, 2024 promises to be another great Tramlines.
Underneath the Stars
August 2nd - 4th
Another festival celebrating its tenth anniversary is Underneath the Stars. It’s all about a mix of music and the arts. Explore new music, and find new skills you didn’t know you had. More names and acts are being announced even now, it’s going to be big!
Tribfest
August 16th - 18th
Seven stages, music, comedy, and over 60 tribute acts. This is the ultimate fantasy festival. For lovers of all genres, and with something for all ages, Tribfest is a joy. This is the one where everybody seems to know all the music.
Hardwick Festival
August 16th - 18th
It’s Hardwick Festival’s 10th anniversary and tickets are selling fast. No wonder, with acts like Becky Hill and Snow Patrol on the bill. Conceived as a ‘melting pot of live music’, this festival is another family friendly event. Face painting, magic shows, a children’s area - they all add up to three days of festival magic.
Lincolnshire festivals in July and August
Lincoln Jazz Festival
July 19th - 24th
The third Lincoln Jazz Festival takes place in Lincoln’s spectacular cathedral and once again hosts an array of national and international jazz musicians. Openers are the legendary James Taylor Quartet and many more. Ticketed and free-to-enter events are on the list and they will cover a huge range of styles and genres. It’s a jazz must.
Bands on the Bank
August 10th
Bands on the Bank promises good food and good music while live bands will be playing ‘on the bank’ to celebrate 150 years of Batemans brewing at Wainfleet Brewery. That sounds like a great day out, doesn’t it? Have a drink at the bar or grab a treat from the café, plus plenty to do for the kids. There are lots of food vendors offering everything from Caribbean delicacies to Hog Roasts, Pizzas, and burgers.
Lost Village Festival
August 22nd - 25th
As a festival goer, Lost Village won’t be your average festival. This will genuinely be a unique experience for you! Explore an abandoned woodland village, working your way through winding pathways. Immersive performances and secret spaces make this a revelatory experience. And there’s music, lots of it. Find Michelin-starred food to expertly curated street food, and pop-up restaurants. It’s a festival full of quirks, but very well worth it.
Quite a line up of festivals and music right? It’s hardly surprising that Yorkshire and Lincolnshire are heading up the holiday home location charts. These are counties with wonderful seasides and stunning countrysides. The Yorkshire Moors, the Lincolnshire Wolds. Skegness and Scarborough. It’s all there.
