Enjoy Norfolk and Suffolk from your holiday home

Norfolk is home to much of the Broads National Park which is the UK’s largest protected wetland - an extremely beautiful place with a legal status of AONB which ensures its preservation.

Traditional resorts with fish and chips and ice cream are there for you, or tiny villages, traditional pubs and big open spaces are there too. It’s all waiting to be explored.

Did you know North Norfolk has the highest number of Blue Flag beaches compared to the rest of the districts in the country?

You’re also not far from Norwich which has a vast cultural heritage and thriving arts and music scene. Check out Norwich castle, two cathedrals, plenty of historic streets and lots of shops too - it’s never a bad thing to balance the culture with a little retail therapy.

A great way to explore the Suffolk Coast is by walking the Suffolk Coast Path. There is lots of information online so take a look at the maps and guides. Plan some days out - you don’t have to walk it all at once. Take it a bit at a time and savour Suffolk.

Lowestoft is the UK’s most easterly point and it’s steeped in history. It’s the birthplace of composer Benjamin Britten and at the other end of the musical scale it’s where rock band The Darkness were formed. Its neighbour, Oulton Broad, is called the gateway to the Broads, which means a gateway to a massive range of things to do.

Southwold is a really lovely town on the Suffolk coast with independent shops, the iconic lighthouse and Adnams Brewery. There’s the town of Aldeburgh, a little gem tucked away in this treasure trove part the world with a coastline that somehow delivers everything you want near a UK seaside holiday home.
