Staff testimonials
Hear from our cherished team members on the process of becoming a holiday home owner and being part of the family.
Having worked for Tingdene for the past 4 years, I have enjoyed building trusting relationships with owners who have made the decision to move their caravans onto our holiday parks. Our approach is to be totally transparent and honest, explaining in full the complete process from start to finish, ensuring to keep owners updated throughout the process from enquiry to caravan siting.
The list of reasons people want to move their caravans is endless, although the most common reasons include; site fees being too expensive, paying for facilities they don’t use, poor level of service, too many restrictions, priority given to holiday rentals over owners, or parks not acting on concerns.
Most owners who have moved their caravan to Tingdene holiday parks have commented how straight forward and effortless it has been. Once on our parks, many owners comment on the friendliness and professionalism of our teams, and how they are made to feel welcome.
They enjoy the facilities we have to offer; at Broadlands Park & Marina, Moss & Co Broadlands bar & restaurant, the swimming pool & sauna, the endless local walks and convenience of being on the doorstep of Oulton Broad and ease of public transport giving access to Lowestoft, Norwich & beyond.
At North Denes Park, although we don’t have facilities directly on the park, just across the road there is the wonderful Sparrows Nest Park, with a fantastic bar & restaurant Giordano's and Martello’s Café and Coffee house, with the added bonus of all offering discounts with our Owners Tingdene Privilege Card. All owners have free use of our swimming pool at Waterside Park, Corton. Lowestoft High Street is within easy walking distance offering a great selection of shops, pubs, bars and restaurants.
At our parks we offer a variety of owners events including summer BBQs, family fun days, themed evening events and more. Our owners have always commented how enjoyable these are and have proved to be very popular.
Colin Thorne, Sales Executive at Broadlands Park & Marina and North Denes Caravan Park
Being a Sales Executive at Caldecott Hall Country Park has surpassed all my expectations - the location is beautiful, surrounded by nature, with a lovely golf course, a swimming pool, and a fantastic bar and restaurant.
I enjoy meeting all the caravan owners and helping them move to our park. Many are looking for a change from their current park because the fees are too high, and they don’t use all the facilities they are made to pay for. Caldecott Hall Country Park offers a unique and relaxing environment that attracts many looking for a more relaxed holiday home lifestyle.
The caravan move-on process is easy for our customers - we handle everything and let them know when it’s ready for them to enjoy.
I love building strong relationships with my customers that last throughout their time at the park. It’s great to catch up and hear how they’re doing at Caldecott when I see them around!
We also hold owner events throughout the year, which the whole team attends. It’s special to see the owners forming relationships with each other and catching up with the team. At our last owner event, we had a singer and buffet in our bar and restaurant, and everyone loved it!
Overall, I recommend Tingdene Holiday Parks to anyone I talk to. They are not only a great company to work for but also a fantastic place to be a holiday home owner. And working with Tingdene has been an amazing experience - in my 4 years here, I’ve made lifelong friends and truly love my job.
Karman Taylor, Sales Executive at Caldecott Hall Country Park
Generally speaking, our owners find North Denes caravan park very peaceful and enjoyable, and are pleased with the competitive fees and smooth move-on process. We have the benefit of Giardino’s Italian Restaurant and the lovely café at Sparrow’s Nest, where musical, charity and children’s events are often held during the warmer weather. Owners also comment that the site is situated conveniently for many local attractions and amenities.
Owners are friendly and appreciative, often calling into reception for a chat! In fact, I received a lovely bouquet of flowers from an owner recently, having built a mutually respectful relationship during my time here. We always offer support and guidance if required, receiving kind words and even hugs in return. I feel that our relationship with the owners is excellent and with a familial feel - we are all part of the Tingdene family. We held a BBQ last summer for the owners, which went down a treat, and our Christmas lunch at Waterside was enjoyed by all.
Being a nature lover, I regularly recommend my favourite walks through Gunton Warren, Gunton Wood (especially in Snowdrop season), Foxburrow Wood (for the bluebells), and Corton Woods with it’s lovely carvings created by the volunteers who look after the area. These all join together to create a wonderful wildlife corridor close to North Denes caravan park, where I often see deer, rabbits, squirrels, and the occasional foxes.
Slightly further afield I often recommend Carlton Marshes (close to ur other Tingdene holiday parks at Waveney River Centre and Broadlands Park & Marina), Lound Lakes, Minsmere and the splendid bluebell woods at Hopton (close to Tingdene Waterside Park & Hotel).
I would definitely recommend Pleasurewood Hills for families with children, as well as the attractions at Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth seafronts. Pettit’s Adventure Park is also great for younger children with the added attraction of journeying across the river on the ferry crossing at Reedham, which they often love. Southwold and Walberswick each have their own distinctive charm and attractions, including another ferry crossing, this time in a small rowing boat.

I have worked for Tingdene for four and a half years and in the hospitality industry for 10 years. We have a great relationship with many of our caravan owners on Foxburrow Hang at Caldecott Hall Country Park, and there are many reasons they love to spend their time here.
Great facilities
Caldecott Hall Country Park is not like a traditional holiday park; there’s no clubhouse, bingo, or kids entertainment that you have to pay for in high site fees like other caravan parks.
We do have Barn 1 bar & restaurant on-site which offers a welcoming atmosphere and some great special offers. The pool with steam room and jacuzzi is small and friendly with the option to buy a membership or just pay as you go. The golf course is extensive and encourages owners to take up a new hobby and their families to visit to play standard golf or the new multi golf.
Fantastic location
Caldecott is set in the peaceful countryside, away from all hustle and bustle of typical seaside resorts and caravan parks. We have foxes, deer, wild birds, squirrels, pigs and many other forms of wildlife to look out for within our 400 acre estate.
Dogs are welcome at Caldecott Hall Country Park, and there are lovely walks easily accessible from the site. Many enjoy the Angles Way footpath that runs through the park, south to Fritton and Somerleyton and north to Burgh Castle and beyond.
Only a 10 minute drive from lovely Gorleston beach when you want to enjoy the seaside, with it’s lovely promenade and restaurants offering plenty to eat and drink.
Great relationships
Owners always say how friendly the staff are at Caldecott; we’re a small team and we will always go above and beyond for our customers.
After the closed season in January, the owners are always excited to be back; they will come in to the office to say hi and say how much they missed being here, and also tell us so via the Facebook Owners page. The community here is really lovely, with great friendships formed between Owners and a real family between them and the team here.
Lindsey Loveys, Customer Service at Caldecott Hall Country Park
What crops up again and again from caravan owners is what a fabulous location we have at Broadlands Park & Marina. The Broads National Park are right on the doorstep, alongside the amazing Carlton Marshes walks and Suffolk beaches just a drive away. Our owners love the idea that they can be on the Broads one minute and at the seaside the next!
The move-on process is handled very professionally between our lovely salesman, Colin and our maintenance team, Steve and Jim; owners have commented on how smooth the process is. Colin gathers all the documents required like signed licence agreements, insurance, gas, and electric certificates; gentle reminders are sent when these are due.
I feel our relationship with the owners is very special. We are honest, open, and available, so they can approach us at any time, with any queries they may have.
Our relationship is enhanced by the owner and berthholder events that we hold regularly. Recently, we have had a Pirate’s Ball and a Casino Night at the on-site bar & restaurant, Moss & Co, both thoroughly enjoyed by all!
Our location is special because we have direct access to the Broads, where you can go paddle-boarding, sailing, and canoeing. You can even keep your own boat on our gorgeous marina. I would recommend he Waveney River Tours that takes visitors up and down the broads on a regular basis from Oulton Broad, with the longer trips heading out to Beccles for a lovely day out!
I would also recommend heading into Oulton Broad for meals at the Copper Smokehouse, a drink at the Lady of the Lake, and of course the Wherry for an amazing Sunday lunch. We of course have Moss & Co on-site if owners would like to eat a little closer to home, and its open to all visitors.
For owners with children, or the young at heart, I would also recommend Africa Alive and Pleasurewood Hills, both within easy driving distance and a joy for children to explore.
I would fully recommend moving your beloved static or buying a caravan at Broadlands Park & Marina; there is a wonderful, family welcome waiting here for you.
